The Radnor High School Boys and Girls Crew Clubs competed in the annual Navy Day Regatta Oct. 10 on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia.
The boys entered three boats in the Mens High School/Junior JV 8+ category. The JV 8+ A boat came in 10th out of 28 boats with a time of 14:53.70. The JV 8+ B boat came in 20th with a time of 16:30.99. The JV 8+ C boat came in 24th place with a time of 17:09.32. This boat was made up of all freshmen rowing in their first race. The boys had one entry in the Mens High School/Junior 8+ category. The V8+ Radnor Boys boat took 6th out of 25 boats, with a time of 13:46.75.
The Radnor Girls entered five boats in total, three in the Women’s High School/Junior JV8+ category. The JV8 +A boat came in 12th out of 27 boats with a time of 16:44.26. The JV8+ B boat came in 22nd place with a time of 19:03.79. The JV8+ C boat came in 24th with a time of 19:58:84. There were two Radnor entries in the Women’s High School/Junior 8+ category. The V8+A boat finished in 9th place out of 22 boats, with a time of 15:26.15. The V8+ B boat finished 18th with a time of 16:49:30.
The next regatta for Radnor Crew Clubs will be the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta Oct. 25.
